AGi32 version 18 – Enhancements

You are going to love the Render Mode Viewpoint feature and what it does for Page Builder output. Plus several new object commands and user requested functionality make version 18 a must have for dedicated AGi32 users.

Viewpoints in Render

To compliment the inclusion of “Viewpoints” in Model mode (v17), we have now added the same functionality to Render Mode. This capability makes it effortless to move from one saved render image to another and made the old Render View Manager obsolete (it has been removed). But what makes the new viewpoints even more useful is each view can now retain its own display settings! This means you can have RGB views, textured views, pseudocolor views and Model Overlay views all set up as viewpoints! Then go to Page Builder and have each one of the viewpoints auto-populate its own page or imageport. This is functionality we have been aiming at for years!

Group Object command

Did you ever just want to quickly group a few objects to move, rotate, copy, scale or? Now you can, using the new Object-Create Group command. You can easily add to an object Library or use Surface Edit, or just click through those options and have a simple group to act on. You can create nested groups even. To get back to the original objects use the Explode command (maybe a few times if you created a nest of groups!). The Group and Explode functions are now also available in Project Manager.

Disable Object command

Now you can Disable objects from the toolkit without having to go to Project Manager using the new Object – Disable command. Use multi-select Single, Window or All selection methods. This is great for removing objects from the calculations temporarily.

Scale Objects in any direction

You can now scale an object in any of the 3-axes (local X,Y,Z). This command will operate on Groups of objects (new) as well!

Capture render image at different sizes

The Export and Edit-Copy commands from Render Mode as well as the Ctrl-C (copy to clipboard) command can now capture images at sizes other than the immediate window size.

The “Maximized” size can see your systems’ maximum overall pixel area, even if you have multiple monitors! This can help with presentation images, the more pixels the better!

Lots of great new Object functionality!

We have added multiple selection capability to all the “Single” selectors allowing as many individual objects to be selected as you like. Similarly, the “All” option is also included in most Object commands now. You can make a Library Object from multiple imports or other library Objects without exploding first, and there is now a default “User” object library you can use to dump things when you might not want to create a new library.
